第39届Ahmadiyya Muslim Jama年会成功举行

The Annual Convention of the Ahmadiyya Muslim Jama`at Gets Underway with Opening Address by Prime Minister Stephen Harper

Thousands gathered for the three days of the 39 th Jalsa Salana (annual convention) of Ahmadiyya Muslim Jama`at Canada at the International Centre, Mississauga, Ontario. Its opening started with Friday prayer and sermon delivered by the National President Mr Lal Khan Malik.

The opening address of the first session was presented by the Canadian Prime Minister Stephen Harper and presided by the National President of the Ahmadiyya Muslim Jama`at, Mr. Lal Khan Malik. Several dignitaries, politicians and diplomats were also in attendance for the opening session.

The Jalsa Salana (annual convention) by the Ahmadiyya Muslim Jama`at o ffers practical solutions to combat various forms of religious extremism, while discussing the reconciliation of freedom of speech and freedom of religion and Islam’s compatibility to The West.

The Prime Minister praised the Ahmadiyya Muslim Jama`at for its commitment to promoting the peaceful teachings of Islam. He further stated, “By your words, by your actions, Canada’s Ahmadiyya Muslim Jama`at has earned the respect and the admiration of all Canadians”. While referencing the community’s infamous slogan, “Love for All, Hatred For None” he stated, “For you, it is not a slogan, it is what you live by”.

The second day of the three day Jalsa Salana (annual convention) resumes on August 29, 2015
at 10 AM EST at the International Center, Mississauga, Ontario. where Justin Pierre James Trudeau MP and the leader of the Liberal Party of Canada Commends Ahmadiyya Muslim Jama`at in Address at Largest National Islamic Convention.

Justin Trudeau commended the Ahmadiyya Muslim Jama`at for its commitment to uphold the principles of respect, inclusion and fairness. Trudeau expressed, “The Ahmadiyya Muslim Jama`at plays a vital role in promoting the positive diversity that is at the heart of Canada’s success as a nation.” He further stated regarding the Jama`at, “In your work, in your communities and internationally, you reflect the best of Canadian values.”

In the afternoon session,honorable Minister, Jason Kenney, Judy Sigro and other Leading Politicians, Community Leaders and Dignitaries and diplomats attended and address the audience. Honourable jason kenney also condemns the atrocities and persecution of Ahmadis in Pakistan and he also condemn innocent killing of Mr Shabaz Bhatti, a christian leader and Minister for Minorities in Pakistan.

Honorable judy Sigro and others also spoke in support of the community’s contribution in promoting peace, humanitarian services and their positive role in the Canadian society.

This year theme of the convention was , “PEACE” a need of the time for the world peace. One of the key highlights of the day was the presentation of the “Sir Zafarullah Khan Award for Public Service” to Honorable Irwin Cotler MP and former Minister of Justice and Attorney General of Canada.

The third and final day of the Jalsa Salana (Annual Convention) concluded on August 30, 2015 was presided by Lal Khan Malik who spoke about blessings of Almighty Allah and rapid progress of Jama’at in Canada. He further showed video links of the visits of Successors of the Promised Messiah and blessings of their visit to make strong foundations of the community.

He further informed about the new mosque projects which are under completion. He further emphasized to be role model for others to spread the true message of Islam/ Ahmadiyyat to their fellow canadians. Jama’at Ahmadiyya Canada is celebrating its 50th anniversary next year 2016. Other speakers also addressed about the system of Khilafat and their peacful and spiritual initiatives for the community to be more God loving and God fearing.
